Jane Ferreira


Jane is the Executive Director of the Navy League Honolulu Council and is a strong team-building professional with leadership skills in business development, strategic partnership and community engagement. She is a brand ambassador with a consistent track record from small business to corporate America, non-profits and startups. Jane has a wealth of senior-level experience in numerous sectors in Hawaii, is highly involved with the local education, business and technology communities, and the force behind many local non-profits.

Will Monahan


Will serves as the Information Security & Privacy Officer for the Hawaii Department of Human Services and a Colonel in the USAF Reserves. He possesses more than 25 years of experience leading military and civilian personnel in the cybersecurity field including Defensive/Offensive Cyber Operations, eDiscovery, and IT Governance. Furthermore, Will's cybersecurity certifications include:

James T. (JT) Ash


J. T. Ash is the HIPAA Compliance Officer (HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer roles) for the University of Hawaii System, encompassing all 10 campuses, inclusive of system offices and related programs. Responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation & maintenance of
the HIPAA Privacy Rule and Security Rule including alignment of the UH HIPAA policy with federal, state and local HIPAA regulations.

He brings over 30 years of Information Technology & Information Security
experience (20 years U. S. Navy – Retired) & 10 years Federal Service (Veteran’s Administration, DISA, and U. S. Army Intelligence). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Historical and Political Studies from Chaminade
University and maintains several commercial certifications:

Vince Lee


As a security solutions architect, Vincent Lee is passionate about technological advances in networking and information security. With a technical career that has spanned the globe, his focus has been on the
Indo Asia Pacific region for over 20 years. Vincent has worked for Fortune 500 companies in the networking and information security space, he has a unique perspective when solving problems based on his ability to understand both the vendor and consulting perspective.


He shares his passion for technology with the next generation of networking and security professionals as an Assistant Professor at Leeward Community College and enjoys volunteering to work with the community. Vince has assisted with public cyber security events and taught seniors about cyber security best practices to keep their information safe as an (ISC) 2 Speakers Bureau volunteer. He is a practiced speaker and has presented at many events around the world including numerous AFCEA events across the Asia Pacific region. He is a proud graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with Masters degrees in both Information and Computer Science, and Mathematics.

Kurt Shigeta


Kurt Shigeta is a retired Air Force officer and engineer.  Prior to his retirement from the Hawaii Air National Guard, he served in several senior positions at the Hawaii Air National Guard Headquarters, as well as in the flying Wing at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.  He is currently engaged in volunteer work, focusing on Robotics and other STEM programs.

Victor Wolfe


Victor Wolfe is an Active Duty Army Chief Warrant Officer serving as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the U.S. Army Pacific Command Headquarters. He has served in a variety of assignments during his 22-year active duty career including a total of 39 months in a combat zone, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Victor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Management Information Systems from Saint Leo University and a Master of Science Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado Boulder. Sanford Ching


Sanford retired after 37 yrs from Federal Civil Service in 2007.  He held several positions at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, the last being a Production Controller in the Planning Depart.  He left in June 1986 to work at HQ U.S. Pacific Fleet as a Program Analyst in the Ship Maintenance & Repair Department.

He also retired after 35 combined yrs in the Hawaii Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves. He started in the 169th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron at Wheeler AFB in Aug 1969.  After commissioning in Aug 1976, he was assigned to the 154th Fighter Squadron at Hickam AFB and later reassigned back to the 169th AC&W Squadron as its Executive Officer. In 1985 he transferred to the U.S. Air Force Reserve at HQ U.S. Pacific Command; assigned to the Special Forces Command.  In 1987, he was assigned to U.S. Forces Japan at Yokota Air Base and later reassigned back to PACOM to serve as a Communications & Computer Systems Officer in the J6 Communication Division.  He retired in the rank of Lt Col in June 2005.

Since 2009, he has developed a passion for teaching and has been a Substitute Teacher for the Hawaii Dept. of Education.  He actively participates in STEM, robotics and cyber activities. He is also a life member of AFCEA Hawaii since 2001 and serves as a board member on its Education Foundation since 2018.
